The ever-evolving craft beer scene in Minnesota continues to grow, prompting people to search for a great brewpub or brewery to find the next big flavor. In Burnsville, Minnesota you don't have to look any further than Nutmeg Brewhouse to find not only a great craft beer but also some fantastic fare!

To tell the story of Nutmeg Brewhouse we need to start at the beginning of the IPA. Traveling great distances, the British empire found it to be tough to keep beer fresh. They discovered by adding more hops it would help with their long journeys on the sea. Inspired by this history, MP Singh and a group of friends were looking to fill the void in the southern metro and had an idea to create a space that makes their friends, family and neighbors feel at home. MP explains “When we started working on the project, the idea was to pair foods from around the world that can be enjoyed with an IPA. In fact, our name is also rooted in the same history; spice trade.” Having spent 2016, fine tuning their craft beer selection and menu they are becoming the best in class for beer, food and service.

With menu items like traditional English Fish ‘N Chips, New Zealand Lamb Chops, Canadian Poutine and Singapore Pork Ribs, Nutmeg is providing a cultural experience without having to leave Minnesota. Bringing all of this together is the beer of course! Pair any of the menu items with a perfect IPA, brown ale, Porter, Kolsh or Pilsner to put a hoppy bow on top.

You might be asking yourself, what’s next for the Nutmeg Brewhouse group? September is looking to be a big month. Get your lederhosen ready because Oktoberfest will be released on September 16th! Along with the introduction of Go the Gose which is a sea salt and coriander beer to be released on September 15th, Tafelbier on September 27th and a Pilsner will be out on September 29th. When those snowflakes start falling you can count on the return of the Winter Warmer, a chocolate milk porter with cayan cayenne pepper. Further into 2018, Nutmeg will be celebrating their two-year anniversary along with a new Maibock in the month of May! Combine all of the above with their amazing lunch and happy hour specials and this makes Nutmeg Brewhouse one of the hottest spots in town!
