Hub 'N Spoke out of Burnsville to enjoy the area's top fall attractions.

All the Best of Fall

Day 1:

Arrive in Burnsville and then "head out west" to the OK Corral Restaurant and Ames Horse Farms. Tour the immaculate facilities that house some of the finest Arabians in the country. Talk with groomers, trainers and breeders. Then, go across the road to see the giant Percherons. Take a firsthand look at the daily operations of maintaining these magnificent horses. Next, it's back to the restaurant to enjoy a hearty lunch and view fascinating western artifacts including original western oil paintings, sculptures of Wyatt Earp and his brothers and the original clock from the bar in Tombstone, Ariz.

After lunch, stop in at Emma Krumbee's Great Scarecrow Festival to take a wagon ride through the orchard and past the scarecrow display of over 100 scarecrows. Pick-your-own apples or choose pre-picked. Enjoy apple pie ala mode at the restaurant. Another popular apple stop is Minnesota Harvest Apple Orchard nearby. There, you can sample apples, enjoy live music, stand on the observation deck to view apples sorting and packing, take a wagon ride out to the orchard, pick you-own apples or purchase pre-picked apples. Enjoy the beautiful setting amidst 230 acres of apples trees.

Then, it's back to Burnsville to your Burnsville Hotel. Freshen up for the evening. Tonight, enjoy a superb dinner and full scale musical production at the Chanhassen Dinner Theatres, the nation's largest professional dinner theatre complex with four theatres under one roof.

Day 2:

Visit the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum featuring more than 1,000 acres of display gardens and extensive plant and tree collections. Enjoy an interesting, narrated ride on the Trumpet Creeper Tram. Browse through the impressive visitor center featuring plant exhibits and art exhibits. Visit the gift shop filled with fun and unique items. View the lovely waterfall garden at the back of the building. Enjoy a flower pot lunch in the lovely fall setting.

Take a relaxing, narrated cruise on lovely Lake Minnetonka on the historic sternwheeler, Lady of the Lake.

Head back to your Burnsville Hotel to freshen up. Then, it's off to the Old Log Theater, beautifully set amidst trees and water, for a delicious dinner and humorous play.

Day 3:

Today is the day to experience the sights and sounds of 16th century Europe at the popular Minnesota Renaissance Festival. Enjoy fantastic food and beautiful, handmade wares. Entertainment abounds with storytellers, mimes, magicians, gypsys and fortunetellers. Comedy acts and live jousting add to the celebration. Return home with fabulous memories of your "All the Best of Fall Tour".
