More Fun in the Summer Sun

Day 1:

Check into your Burnsville Hotel and take your group to the Burnsville Center for an evening of shopping and dining. For those that do not want to shop, they can catch one of the latest flicks at Paragon Odyssey 15 Theater. This state-of-the-art theater offers wall-to-wall screens, high rise stadium seating with luxurious high back rocker seats is located adjacent to the Burnsville Center.

Day 2:

This morning, venture out to the Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge just across the Minnesota River. Enjoy a panoramic view of Long Meadow Lake from the observation deck and then enjoy the colorful hands-on exhibits which interpret the Valley’s diverse habitats and wildlife. Then, spend some time back in Burnsville at AntiQues Minnesota, one of the largest Antique Malls in the Upper Midwest. The gallery offers antiques and vintage collectibles with more than 330 dealers. Dine on one of the beautiful patios in Burnsville for lunch, and spend the afternoon in the Heart of the City attending the annual Art & All that Jazz Festival, featuring top jazz musicians performing in an outdoor setting in beautiful Nicollet Commons Park. Don’t forget to browse at your leisure through the fine arts display and enjoy some great food.

Freshen up at your Burnsville Hotel, and then it is off to St. Paul to attend a Broadway show at the Ordway, or any one of the many theatres in the metro area.

Day 3:

Start your morning at the Minnesota Zoo, with perhaps a scavenger hunt. While there, enjoy the many shows such as the Coral Reef Dive Show, ride the monorail, and then make your way to the all new Penguins of the African Coast exhibit. Enjoy lunch at the Zoo before starting your afternoon cruising the mighty Mississippi on the Padelford Packet Boat. Catch spectacular views of Pig’s Eye Cave, the Minnesota River mouth, Pike Island and Fort Snelling.

Cap off your stay with an impressive dinner and awarding winning musical at Chanhassen Dinner Theatres, but not before taking time to freshen up at your Burnsville Hotel.

Day 4:

Head for home with wonderful memories of how you had "More Fun in the Summer Sun."
