Pure Holiday Joy
Day 1:
Arriving in Burnsville you will receive a Holiday Greeting! Enjoy dinner at Old Country Buffet and then you will be whisked off on a Holiday Lights Tour by Metro Connections. When returning to Burnsville you can observe the holiday lights in the Heart of the City area, with lighted snowflakes and trees in Nicollet Commons Park.
Day 2:
This morning you will head to Minneapolis to view Macy’s Annual Holiday Display, featuring three-dimensional animated figures. Then it is off to the American Swedish Institute to admire their annual holiday display of lavishly decorated trees, tables set for a Christmas meal, hand crafted ornaments as celebrated in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Iceland and Finland.
This afternoon, travel to St. Paul to tour the James J. Hill House which comes alive with actors, portraying servants, preparing for the holidays.
Enjoy dinner at Porter Creek Hardwood Grill before attending an evening show of the Lundstrom’s Country Christmas Celebration, which is a live Branson-style Christmas spectacular.
Day 3:
“Shop til you drop” today at the Burnsville Center. Enjoy lunch in one of the many restaurants that the Center offers. Then travel to the Mall of America to finish up the last of your holiday shopping.
It is back to Burnsville for dinner at Jensen’s Café and to spend the evening attending a holiday show at the Burnsville Performing Arts Center. Or consider experiencing a 1900 era Christmas celebration at Dakota City in Farmington with live music, lamp lights, wood stoves and a village bustling with cheerful activity.
Day 4:
Enjoy a hearty breakfast at your hotel and check-out. Before departing Burnsville, don’t forget to make a stop at Abdallah’s Candies & Gifts, where you will see the hand-dipping and hand-molding process of candy making, sample some of their world famous candies, and learn about the history of the 102 year-old company. It will then be time to head home, and take lasting memories of a wonderful holiday trip with you.
